CPS School Bus Pledge

I pledge to make the bus a safe place by:

1. Following the driver’s instructions at all times
2. Riding in my assigned section or seat on my assigned bus to and from school
3. Lining up in a single file to board the bus and always walking towards the bus
4. Remain seated while the bus is in motion
5. Keeping my hands, feet, head and all objects out of the aisles and inside the bus at all times
6. Speaking in a normal voice while riding; I will not yell or make distracting noises.
7. Refrain from eating and drinking on the bus
8. Refrain from throwing any objects on the bus
9. Respect others, I will not tease or make fun of others. I will not use physical behavior toward others
10. Making others feel welcome; I will not save seats or force someone to move from their seat
11. Immediately reporting any D & D behavior (dangerous or destructive) to the bus driver or the Guidance Counselor

HOW TO REPORT A D & D ON THE BUS

Notify the bus driver of the behavior or Notify the Guidance Counselor – if the principal or vice principal are not available please leave a message at the front office or ask your teacher to inform the principal or vice principal of the situation immediately

ALL D & D BEHAVIOR MUST BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY

I understand that if my child does not follow the above requirements for safe behavior on the bus the possible consequence may include an assigned seat or temporary bus suspension.
