Clinton Preschool Programs

The Clinton Public School Preschool Classrooms provide an inclusive classroom environment for children ages 3 and 4 years old. Our classrooms offer all students a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children to grow and learn alongside their peers. We provide services for students who have been found eligible for special education who are on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Our teachers are highly qualified and deliver differentiated programming to promote social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development. Our Preschool Programs are the foundation for ensuring academic excellence for each and every student.

Clinton Public Schools offer a Preschool Program at Clinton High School for students who are 3 years old. This unique program works in collaboration with students from Clinton High School taking Child Development classes. The high school students receive training under the leadership of a highly qualified teacher through coursework and in supporting the preschool classroom. The high school students spend time each week working within the preschool classroom.

CES Preschool houses 4 classrooms, each led by a certified special education teacher and Instructional Assistant. 

• 3 year old session runs Tuesday- Thursday 9:15-11:45 am.
• 4 year old AM session runs Monday-Friday 9:15-11:45 am. 
• 4 year old PM session runs Tuesday-Friday 1:00-3:30 pm.

 *Transportation is available (within Clinton town lines) for all students enrolled in a 4 year old program. Transportation is not provided for students enrolled in a 3 year old program. 

The CHS Preschool Program services students who are 3 years old as of August 31, 2025. The program is led by a certified Preschool Teacher and Instructional Assistant. 

Morning Session:

• Tuesday-Thursday 8:30-11:00 am. 

Afternoon Session:

• Tuesday-Thursday 12:00-2:30 pm.

The Integrated Preschool Program at Clinton Elementary School also provides itinerant services for students who have 504 Plans or IEPs that require itinerant services including, but not limited to: Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech and Language Therapy.

Clinton Public School Preschool Program conducts screenings for all students entering preschool or kindergarten. The screenings are designed to review a child’s development to assist in the identification of children who may be referred for an evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services.
